Laziness pays off right now. Hard work pays off in the future.

The GESS club has a proud tradition of recognizing our skaters. Our skaters work hard to achieve their goals and recognition of this achievement is a very important part of their development as a SpeedSkater. At the end of the season the coaches and officers of the club meet to review the progress of our skaters and determine the best club skater for each of the four awards. These awards are then presented to the skaters at our annual end of the year banquet.

  Awards are given in (4) Categories

  • McChesney Award
  • The All Around Award
  • The Rookie of the Year Award
  • The Most Improved Skater Award

We had two very wonderful club members who stepped up though out the year and helped out where ever they could. You did not have to ask them to do anything. Where they saw a need they filled it. They did whatever it took to get the job done. A big thanks to them and because of their always joyous and can do spirit we have awarded a new award this year;
Team Sprit to Katherine Condon & Cecille Molenda
