Summer CAmps
This is a bit of a different take on summer training camps. The Glen Ellyn Speedskating Club will be hosting 3 mini camps (one in June, one in July, and one in August) with a virtual training plan bridge between each session.
Each 4 1/2-hour camp will include a dryland session, an ice session, and an education session. Camps are capped at 30 participants, so please register early to save your spot.

Light snacks will be provided after ice. Please be sure to eat lunch prior to camp.

Between sessions, participants will have access to a customized off-ice training plan designed to increase muscular strength and endurance. All equipment needed to participate in these at-home activities, as well as access to the workout platform, is included in the camp fees.
While the camps are intended to build upon each other, they can also be taken individually.
These camps are designed for novice to advanced skaters.
While all ages are welcome, please remember that this is a 4 1/2 hour commitment, which may not be appropriate for younger skaters. We also ask that all participants be able to skate independently and have some familiarity with (mastery not required) cross-overs.
If you will need to borrow skates, please reach out ahead of the session so we can be sure to have skates on hand for you.
